I really tried to like their later releases but they
just seemed to be lacking when compared to
this album.
Post-hardcore with clean/shouted vocals, the
outstanding element here is the amazing guitar
work by Thomas Erak.
Bombastic, spazzy schizo riffing with tons of
distortion going from tech-metal to moments
of delicate beauty and back again to hardcore
aggression.
The drum and bass are as tight as fuck and the
whole thing just kills.
This is THE Fall Of Troy album. I do like their later stuff but this is the fucking pinnacle of tech/spazz/hardcore. There won't be another FOT any time soon. RIP.
ReplyDeleteThis is always gonna be hard to beat. Just loaded on your Magnificent Brotherhood for journey home.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I got to see these when they were in their prime. Shit hot live. Done a cover of raining blood.
