Good choice! I always felt that the Purple albums never had enough killer tracks on them to be 100% classic - thats why the live album is so good - if I did a compilation, it would run very much like that - unlike say Zepp 1,2 & 4 - every track fantastic and essential.
sweet man, I just dug out a few tapes to see what I had, found a couple of bootlegs in there, got live from Zurich in 1980 (same tour as the last ever night in Berlin I believe) and another one that has no information other than it is a zep bootleg. Also found Thin Lizzy booted from Newcastle city hall in 1980. I'll find a way to get them ripped
What a fucking album, I bought my mate this when we were 13 and its been one of his favourites ever since

ReplyDeleteYeah man, too true. Zep are my favourite band ever, absolutely amazing. Presence is the best album recorded by any band ever.
ReplyDeleteI can't choose just one favourite - I would have to go with Vol 2,4 & Houses of The Holy.
ReplyDeleteI have a Zepp boot from the P. Graffitti tour called "Trampled Underfoot" - have you got this or do you want?
I think I may have heard it before, maybe I have it on tape somewhere. But an upload would be rather nice man.
ReplyDeleteNo problem - but I do all my uploading at work - well busy at the moment - I will put in on about Monday lunchtime.
