Deep Purple - Made In Japan (1972)

This is the only Purple album you will
ever need.

Drawing mainly from Machine Head,
these live tracks are played at with a
rawness and intensity that were sometimes
missing from the studio releases.

Classic heavy rock - do I need to say more?

  1. What a fucking album, I bought my mate this when we were 13 and its been one of his favourites ever since

  2. Good choice! I always felt that the Purple albums never had enough killer tracks on them to be 100% classic - thats why the live album is so good - if I did a compilation, it would run very much like that - unlike say Zepp 1,2 & 4 - every track fantastic and essential.

  3. Yeah man, too true. Zep are my favourite band ever, absolutely amazing. Presence is the best album recorded by any band ever.

  4. I can't choose just one favourite - I would have to go with Vol 2,4 & Houses of The Holy.

I have a Zepp boot from the P. Graffitti tour called "Trampled Underfoot" - have you got this or do you want?

  5. I think I may have heard it before, maybe I have it on tape somewhere. But an upload would be rather nice man.

  7. sweet man, I just dug out a few tapes to see what I had, found a couple of bootlegs in there, got live from Zurich in 1980 (same tour as the last ever night in Berlin I believe) and another one that has no information other than it is a zep bootleg. Also found Thin Lizzy booted from Newcastle city hall in 1980. I'll find a way to get them ripped

  9. Greatest live album. Deep Purple was first rock band I heard and I started with mind-blowing In Rock... ah, memories
