Enabler - Shift Of Redemption EP

Enabler are back with this 4 track EP and straight away show
why they are one of hardcores brightest hopes.

They seemed to have refined their sound - things are heavier,
sharper and if it is possible, more frantic than ever.

The bass now sounds like Lemmy shooting his love juice into
a fuzz box with the resulting offspring being raised by riff
loving Satanists who worship at the Altar of Bowel Disturbance.
This pins down the razor sharp drumming which has a frenetic
pace but still retains a really powerful sound.

The guitars combine hardcore, crust and some metallic elements
which give an unstoppable sound that just gives these songs
a vitality and urgency sometimes missing in this genre.

The vocals are a devastating blend of growls, yelps and screams
and these are used to great effect on "Live Low" - the chorus
of "Fuck you and fuck you and fuck you forever" has stuck in my
head and I now find myself muttering this under my breath as I make
my way to work at the wage slave factory.

Highly recommended!
